Brenda Wilson has been walking the highway of tears from Prince Rupert to Prince George holding cleansing forums at communities along the way.
She’s hoping families will come forward about missing and murdered women along the highway.
Stikine MLA Doug Donaldson was at meetings in Hagwilget and Gitanmaaxx hearing stories, as well as some of the issues, communities have with safety along highway 16.
“The pressure needs to be kept up. I commended the families and Brenda Wilson for keeping the topic at the forefront and in the media. That’s the only way change will happen,” says Donaldson.
Brenda Wilson will be making her way through Smithers for this Saturday’s Ramona Wilson Memorial walk and music festival
Her sister Ramona was murdered in Smithers over 20 years ago.
