A 5-year Do-Not-Consume water advisory continues on the Wet’suwet’en First Nation, according to the FNHA

The First Nations Health Authority has reported there are still 5 Do Not Consume and 21 boil water advisories in the province.

In a response to an information request from Moose FM, the First Nations Health Authority says that the Palling Community under the Wet’sewet’en First Nation has had a five year long Do Not Consume Advisory.

The FNHA states that Do Not Consume means the community’s water system contains a contaminant, such as a chemical, that can’t be removed from the water source – even from boiling.

They say there are advisories in less than 10 per cent of the 283 community water systems they monitor in the Province.
