Smithers RCMP say an early morning truck fire was deliberately set.
According to a press release from the Smithers RCMP they received a call about a woman causing a disturbance near the Petro Canada gas station at 3:30 am this morning.
Sgt. Andrew Hunter says officers located the 23-year-old woman staggering along Princess Crescent near a truck which had been set on fire.
Smithers fire crews were called to extinguish the fire which caused significant damage to the vehicle.
The RCMP say the event was a random occurrence and alcohol was a significant factor.
The woman has now been charged with Arson and Mischief.
