The forest fire sparked by lightning yesterday in the Telkwa Mountain Range has not grown in size.
The Northwest Fire Centre says crews continue to fight the blaze which remains about 4.5 hectares in size.
The Fire Centre’s Olivia Pojar says crews are also on scene at a fire south of Burns Lake, near Southside, which was also sparked by lightning yesterday.
“So there is a wildfire located just west of Takysie Lake, it’s 25 hectares in size and as of this morning it has a retardant guard around 85 per cent of the fire.”
Crews, heavy machinery and helicopters are on scene again today at both blazes.
At this time no structures or property are threatened at either site.
