The Village of Burns Lake and the Chamber of Commerce are going to try out “business walks” in Burns Lake.
Economic development officer, Krystin St. Jean says business walks consist of Village and Chamber staff going around to local businesses to chat with owners about how business is going and what needs to change.
“And by identifying those barriers we hope to development and work on policies and programs that can help businesses better do business in Burns Lake.”
The walks will run every second Wednesday for July and August.
She says the idea was started in the Okanagan and replicated in other communities to great success.
