The Federal government now has 90 days to approve the Pacific Northwest LNG Project.

The Environmental Assessment Agency accepted their final response on how it plans to mitigate effects to salmon habitat, aquatic life, and traditional first nations land.

Northwest LNG proposes to build a liquefied natural gas plant on LeLu Island outside of Price Rupert converting natural gas for export.

The environmental agency said in their information request in March they were uncertain of Northwest LNG being able to mitigate damage to fish habitat.
