Property Taxes are due today(MON, and for those that pay late a 10 per cent interest penalty is applied.
For the Town of Smithers you can pay at the town office or the credit union until 4:30 today, and up to midnight online.
Telkwa’s town office is open until 4:30 as well.
In Burns Lake, you can pay until 4 p.m today at the village office. Online payments today will incur the 10 percent fee.
In The District of Houston, property taxes aren’t due until July 31st.
For paying taxes out in the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako you can go to a Service BC building.
Senior citizens over the age of 55 can have their property taxes
deferred if they applied before today’s deadline.
