More rain expected over the next week in the Bulkley Valley

The Bulkley Valley is looking at an estimated 20 mm of rainfall over the next week according to Environment Canada

As meteorologist Lisa Coldwells explains, upper low-pressure areas are making their way into the valley.

“These are theses little June like weather patterns that are making their way into the region. I count three more coming in from the Gulf of Alaska.”

She says they’ll be dumping rain into the weekend.

When looking at may’s rainfall level of 9.7 mm, June shot up to 35.9 mm which is still below the average of 52.2 mm of rain.

combining the two months, the Bulkley Valley still saw 52 per cent of the normal rainfall levels.
