Tomorrow morning a piano will be flown up to Crater Lake for a lunch-time jam with Alex Cuba.
The Grammy Award winning Latin music artist agreed to play up there not only as a part of the Smithers street piano project, but to celebrate music.
“There’s always a point behind music. No matter what you do with it, it always gives you that positive message,” says Cuba. “Allow people to see the good in it, you know. Behind it is to promote culture and the love of music…music heals.”
Two pianos will be placed around the town of Smithers this summer to encourage the spirit of live music for the public.
