The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency is inviting the public to comment on a proposed oil refinery north of Kitimat.
The public will be able to send their comments to the Agency regarding aspects of the environment that may be affected by the project
The CEAA says those comments will be factored in to a final decision on the project that is expected to process 400 thousand barrels of bitumen a day for 50 years
Part of the Kitimat Clean Refinery Ltd. Project would see a pipeline built for a 12 kilometer stretch between a marine terminal and the refinery
Public comment is open until August 12.
