To help raise money for the Lakes District Food Bank, Ed Peters of Burns Lake will take up the challenge of biking 10 laps of 10 km.
So far Peters has raised over one thousand dollars through pledges.
“for them(Food Bank) to grants provincially, they have to demonstrate they have the support of the community around them. So this helps them apply for grants as well,” says Peters. “I’m a pastor in a local congregation, and we said as one of our goals is to be involved in feeding the hungry.”
Peters will be biking in Dante’s Enduro Race as a part of the Big Pig Festival next weekend at Kager Lake.
