TELKWA: House destroyed in Fire

A house on Dennis road was destroyed by a blaze discovered just before 10:30 p.m. Saturday night.

11 Volunteer Telkwa fire fighters and 3 fire trucks battled through the night to subdue the fire, and clean up the mess.

Fire Chief Randy Cunningham doesn’t know yet what caused it.

“I’ll do my own preliminary investigation, and if the insurance company wants to do their own investigation they can determine that.”

He says the house fire was ‘fully involved’ when they arrived. No one was home, and no one was injured

They finished their clean-up by 6:30 a.m., Sunday, spending over 6 hours on scene.
