The slash burning that has filled the sky between Telkwa and Smithers with smoke has stopped
PIR was burning 430 piles at the Telkwa drainage today.
They expect the smoke could hang in the air for a few days.
As a part of their smoke management plan, they say today had the best venting index for burning.
