Cultural days this weekend in Smithers

People will be walking through the history of Main St., Smithers this weekend for cultural days.

The Smithers Library and Bulkley Valley Museum are putting on a Smithers Culture Hunt sending people on a chase through town for clues revealing historical locations.

Program and Events Coordinator Melissa Sawatsky says it’s an educational opportunity teaching the changes Smithers has gone through.

“Historical and architectural, but all cultural in the sense of social changes and technological changes – it’s a kind of past to the future.”

Saturday and Sunday will also have cultural days events at Bovill Square.

The Scavenger Hunt is Friday through Sunday.
