Stikine MLA Doug Donaldson incumbent in 2017 BC election

Stikine MLA Doug Donaldson is the incumbent in the upcoming 2017 BC election, and is critical of the Clark government’s handling of poverty, education and LNG promises, especially as it relates to aboriginal rights and title.

“Christy Clark’s decisions have been abysmal for jobs in Stikine, a the approach she’s taken with First Nations is that anyone that disagrees with her approach is called a rag tag,” says Donaldson.

“putting all the eggs in one basket with LNG – the opportunities in forestry and mining have been dropped because of the premiers obsession with LNG.”

He says for LNG development to benefit the northwest it has to respect the environment, aboriginal rights, benefits to the province with an improved market, and a creation of local jobs rather than temporary foreign workers.
