The Loren Donn Leslie Foundation will be holding a family fun day in Vanderhoof tomorrow. Loren Leslie was one of the four women murdered by Cody Legebokoff. Coordinator Claire Nielsen says family and friends of the murdered teenager have been organizing the event for the past eight months.
“We planned the family fun day back last fall for this weekend,” says Nielsen, “and we did not plan on it coinciding with the end of the trial at all, that is pure coincidence.”
Nielsen says the day is to celebrate youth and families and raise awareness about safety. The day gets underway at one p-m at Riverside Park.
