Kelly Johnson was handed a four-year sentence in Smithers court on Friday for the killing of Francis Namox Jr.
Charged with manslaughter, Johnson will serve three years and two months after time served.
In 2014, 26-year-old Namox Junior was stabbed and killed at an apartment building in Smithers on Main St.
A second-degree murder charge was originally laid in connection to the death.
