BC’s central interior could see several temperature records fall in the next two days thanks to a stretch of hot weather.
Unfortunately, Smithers won’t get quite as lucky according to Environment Canada Meteorologist Allan Coldwells.
“The record is actually quite a bit warmer as we’re looking at records for Friday of about 34 degrees and we’re not expecting it to be quite as warm with Friday’s temperature only about 25 degrees.”
A few tips to stay safe in the outdoors include packing sunscreen with a high SPF rating, wearing a hat and to drink lots of fluids.
Other tips include keeping your pets indoors and to check up on any elderly residents you may have during the warm weather.
