The 15th annual Santa’s breakfast has been deemed a success by organizers.
Hundreds of people brought in an item for the food bank and got a buffet breakfast at Hudson Bay Lodge on Sunday.
Owner and GM Bonnie McCreary says they also had a good number of volunteers.
“The event went really well,” she says. “We couldn’t do this without the volunteers that come forward, the RCMP, the Sheriffs, the Cadets, a number of the staff from BV Wholesale that were dishing up food and my staff that volunteer their time. It is just a nice community event”
McCreary says more food was raised this year than last and over $1700 in cash was brought in for more groceries to be bought.
