A friendly competition between Houston businesses has raised a lot of food for the Salvation Army.
Every year Canfor challenges another business to see who can bring in the most non-perishables and this year decided to take on Monster Industries, Sullivan Motor Products and Finning.
Jennifer Laurin with Canfor says they raised more food than last year.
“All together, between all the competing companies, we raised 550 kg of food,” she says. “We were pleasantly surprised at how enthusiastic everyone was.”
Monster, Sullivans and Finning won the competition but Laurin says the real winner is the community.
