Burns Lake and Houston continue to be under a Road Dust Advisory.
The Ministry of Environment in coordination with Northern Health issued the release due to a high recorded level of air contaminants (dust) in both regions.
The regulatory limit for air contaminants is 50 micrograms per cubic meter over 24 hours.
Burns Lake last recorded a level of 52.1, while Houston recorded 78.
Residents of Burns Lake and Houston are asked to reduce outdoor activity in high traffic areas if at all possible until there is some sort of dust suppression in the regions.
Extra caution should be taken for children, elderly, and those with chronic health issues.
