Smithers Town Council, May 8th

Tomorrow, one of the hottest tickets in Smithers will be at Town Hall for 6:30 pm as Town Council hosts their bi-weekly meeting.

The best part? It’s free, plus you can’t beat having first-hand knowledge of what’s going on in your backyard.

Highlights of the agenda include:

  • Annual presentation from the Town’s auditor
  • A report regarding the pros and cons of an Instrument Landing System.
  • Kate Evans, a Lanarc Consultant will join the meeting via teleconference to discuss the Downtown Revitalization Project.
  • Smithers Secondary Group has issued a letter to Smithers Town Council in regards to putting up billboards/signage encouraging people to use reusable bags.
