The Women’s BC hockey team are off to a 3-0 start at the Aboriginal Hockey Championships.
Today’s game saw BC face off against the Northern Females.
Smithers product Wynona Creyke would notch a goal for BC, on route to a 5-3 victory.
With the win, the women remain undefeated along with Manitoba and Saskatchewan, making tomorrow’s match-up for BC that much more interesting.
Team BC will face off against Saskatchewan, meaning one team will leave with a loss attached to their record.
This will be a redemption game of sorts, as last year, Saskatchewan knocked off Creyke and Team BC in the Aboriginal Championship Semi-Finals.
Puck drop is scheduled for 2:15 Pacific Time.
