Since we last reported, Wynona Creyke and Team BC have had a busy 24 hours at the National Aboriginal Hockey Championships in Membertou, Nova Scotia.

Yesterday, they were involved in a grudge match of sorts with Saskatchewan.

Creyke would grab an assist on the first BC goal, on route to a 2-2 tie.

With the draw, the BC ladies would finish round robin play with a 3-0-1 record.

Next up, undefeated Manitoba in the semi-finals.

That game took place this morning and unfortunately for BC, it didn’t go as planned.

Manitoba would grab the 1st goal of the game just 28 seconds in and not look back from there, eliminating BC from championship contention with a 10-1 final.

Creyke and Team BC will now play Saskatchewan in the Bronze-Medal game.
