A Bulkley Valley copper-gold mine is starting over with operation planning.
Environment Minister Mary Polak and Energy and Mines Minister Bill Bennett have ordered that Pacific Booker Mineral Inc.’s proposed Morrison copper-gold mine must undergo further assessment.
The Ministries demand that many of the plans be reconsidered, including its effect on the ecosystem, mine designs, and project mitigations.
They also said they aren’t confident the mine will “sufficiently protect the environment.”
The mine is located 35 km north of Granisle and has three years to provide better information.
