The avian flu may have an impact on your holiday season celebrations.
The B-C Poultry Association is warning that the epidemic of infections could mean a shortage of turkeys this year.
Association spokesperson Amanda Brittain told the Canadian Press that the avian flu has cut turkey supplies by 20 percent.
Importing turkeys might not be a solution.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is limiting supplies from the United States…..again, because of avian influenza.
