Chandler Park renovations have come to a screeching halt after Council received only one bid to upgrade the soccer fields.
A contracting company requested nearly $530,000 for the project, which is close to $270,000 over the project’s budget.
Mayor Taylor Bachrach says Council will look for new contractors in spring.
“We’re optimistic, if not hopeful, that we’ll have a bid that meets our budget,” he says, “and if not, we’re going to have to look at other options.”
The Town’s current project budget is just under $310,000.
