Suspect killed in Quesnel home invasion

An armed man is dead after a violent home invasion and attempted robbery.

Sergeant Clay Kronebusch says the incident happened on Friday (Jan 5) at 5:38 p.m.

“Quesnel RCMP responded to a home invasion at a residence in West Quesnel. The homeowner reported that an armed man attempted to rob him and that there was a violent encounter leaving the intruder dead.”

Kronebusch says they believe that this was an isolated incident and that there doesn’t appear to be any further risk to the public.

“The investigation is ongoing. Police are working to confirm the details of the reported incident and the suspect’s actions leading up to the event.”
