Williams Lake drive-by shooter with ties to PG receives jail time

A well-known offender in Prince George has been sentenced to four years in prison following a drive-by shooting in Downtown Williams Lake from July of 2022.

31-year-old Trevor Lyndon Alexis pled guilty to many charges in Prince George Court and was found guilty of Discharging a Firearm with Intent and Possession of a Firearm Contrary to an Order.

On July 28th, 2022, the Williams Lake RCMP were alerted by members of the public a person in a newer Dodge Ram had shot at a Dodge Challenger.

With the assistance of the public, officers identified the suspect as Alexis.

Police obtained a search warrant for a residence and the vehicle and located two firearms and ammunition consistent with the damage on the vehicle he was driving.

Additional search warrants confirmed Alexis was the shooter and that he was involved with the 712 gang in the Cariboo Region.

This incident occurred less than a month after the 2022 Williams Lake Stampede shooting, were two victims were shot.

The shooter in that incident, Jordell Sellars, was recently sentenced to nine years in jail, he was a former member of the Indian Outlawz, a gang rivalling 712 gang.
