Gorbahn setting NAIA records this season

A local athlete has been setting records South of the border.

Golfer Kaleb Gorbahn is wrapping up his fall season at Holy Cross College in Indiana.

So far in his sophomore year, he’s finished in the top-5 in all six tournaments, including scoring a 65 twice. In the NAIA, he is currently in the top-30 scoring average and leads all golfers in birdies.

He’s also set two new school records: one for the most consecutive top-5 finishes and one for the lowest individual score (-10).

Gorbahn says he’s proud of what he’s accomplished thus far, but still has his sights set on the school record for most wins (6) in a year.

“It’s going to be a very tall order … I’m going to need a couple more [wins] and then have the spring season, which is the most important season, and play the best that I can,” he says.

Gorbahn has one tournament left this season before the winter break. He is considering a transfer and will soon be visiting Division 1 schools in Utah.
