Residents concerned about the current fire above Seymour Lake are reminded that it is under control.
The Wetzin’kwa Community Forest Corporation is burning logging leftovers, such as tops, rot, and dead wood,
These are often left on or near logging sites since there is not much of a market for foresting residue.
The company has been slash pile burning throughout October to reduce the risk of these contributing to a wildfire later.
