A crash on Highway 97 north of Mackenzie claimed a life yesterday. (Tuesday)
North District RCMP Cpl. Madonna Saunderson said Mounties responded to the collision involving a semi and a pickup truck at around 3:54 pm.
“The driver of the semi received non-life threatening injuries, however the driver of the pickup was pronounced deceased at the scene,” she said.
“This crash was reported to be near Honeymoon Creek.”
The highway was closed while police investigated the crash.
The investigation into what caused the crash is ongoing.
