Houston residents can get all their firewood this year without any of the heavy-lifting.
Players from 7 Houston minor hockey teams are selling full pickup loads of wood for $100. They will also pick up, deliver, and stack the wood for you.
Head Coach Alonzo Slaney says this is the feel good way to stay warm this winter.
“You’re supporting a youth club. These kids are going out there and doing it and it’s good to support them,” he says, “and it’s probably cheaper than you going out and getting it yourself.”
Houston Minor Hockey is also looking for referees.
There is a referee qualification course at the Houston arena on Saturday.
