Smithers RCMP responded to 55 files over the Halloween weekend, including a reported robbery along Highway 16 on Saturday.
Officers responded to a robbery at Copperside Foods just before 6:30 PM.
Officers were on scene within 30 seconds but did not locate the suspect.
Reports state that a short male entered the store, demanded money, grabbed cash from the till and took off on foot.
Police are reviewing the surveillance cameras and said the male was wearing a black/grey/white hoodies, black balaclava, ski goggles, gloves, and had a folding knife.
Later in the evening, Police heard reports of a stolen vehicle.
A West Fraser Concrete work truck was taken from the Telkwa property on Saturday around 11 PM.
The vehicle is described as a red Dodge 1 ton with “West Fraser Concrete” write on the side in white letters.
The truck was last seen headed East towards Houston.
Around 2 AM Sunday, Police found a small fire in an alley behind a Main Street shop.
A wooden pallet stuffed with cardboard was on fire, and RCMP put it out with the vehicle fire extinguisher.
There was no damage to any nearby buildings.
