The grills will be lit this weekend for the 112th annual Telkwa BBQ.
Events kick off on Friday with the annual Baseball Tournament and much more.
“We also have the beef which is the main staple of the event and that goes into the pit to cook on Sunday and comes out on Monday at about noon,” said Bulkley Valley Kinsmen Member Lonny Wiebe.
A kid’s zone is also being planned during the day and three bands will play Saturday night.
Wiebe added the event is the longest running in BC and said he’s proud to be a part of it.
“It’s been a complete community effort. We always get lots of support from all the businesses in the Bulkley Valley,” he said.
He added more volunteers are always appreciated to help run events like this and can register to do so by emailing [email protected].
Most of the event is free to attend but tickets to the concert cost $10.
They can be purchased at the Bulkley Valley Brewery or at RBC in Smithers.
