Sabina Lake evacuation alert rescinded

An evacuation alert on the north side of Ootsa Lake has been rescinded by the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako.

The original alert was issued on Friday (August 30th) due to the Sabina Lake wildfire.

The alert included properties, and dwellings located south of the Cheslatta River,
between Skins Lake and Cheslatta Lake, and west of the Marilla Main FSR.

According to the BC Wildfire Service, the blaze has burned 41,170.6 hectares and remains out of control.
