In Smithers, the high reached 29.5 degrees to edge out the 2017 record of 29.1.
Burns Lake’s high record was set to 30.1 degrees that day, breaking the previous 2017 record of 27.5.
Some rain is in the forecast for both regions this weekend, a special air quality statement is in effect for Burns Lake.
