Telkwa is creating a Building Committee to help complete the unfinished Village office.
The five-person group will share ideas and listen to public feedback to perfect the government building on Hankin Avenue.
Mayor Darcy Repen says it’s important that community members share their ideas for the building to ensure it’s the best fit for the Village.
“This is an asset that doesn’t just belong to the village staff or Council, this is the community’s asset. This belongs to every household every taxpayer in Telkwa,” he says.
The volunteer team will consist of a staff member, a Councilor, and 3 local residents.
The application deadline is 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2015.
