Two players from Telkwa had mixed results at the 2024 Canadian Nationals Disc Golf Harvest Huck in Clearwater, BC.
Gareth Reid tied for 30th out of 39 in the mixed amateur 50+ category.
“Here in the region, we have smaller courses while these were out on actual golf courses,” he said.
Dan Perlman finished 6th out of 15 in the mixed amateur 60+ category.
Reid was looking forward to meeting professional disc golfers at the tournament but was
unable to as the pros played on a different course.
He expressed interest in participating in the tournament again, adding he hopes to not have nerves take over if he does.
“The other thing I wish I didn’t do was play my favourite disc on Hole 18, which was a water hole, and lose it,” Reid said.
It was later confirmed to be found and plans to have it returned are underway.
Information about the next Harvest Huck tournament has not been released.
