Two Chamber Awards for Hy-Tech Drilling

Business people from across town came together Saturday night to enjoy the Smithers Chamber Community & Business Awards.

Attendees bid on silent auction items while enjoying hor d’oeuvres and listening to the live band, which was only silenced when awards were being handed out.

When all was said and done, Hy-tech Drilling took home two awards including Environmental Business of the Year.

Company Chairman Harvey Tremblay accepted the award and said it was special to take this one home.

“The environmental award is very meaningful to us. It’s not something that we win every day, and a drilling company, it’s not what you’d expect every day, but it’s very valuable to us to be recognized for that sort of thing,” he says.
