The annual Cram the Cruiser fundraiser returns tomorrow (Saturday) at the Houston Mall.
This year is a little different as non-perishable food, and monetary donations will be going towards the Houston Community Services Association Food Bank.
“We’re extremely happy and excited because we’ll be able to reach our most vulnerable people in a more expanded way,” said Executive Director Tracey Keel.
The employees and equipment previously owned by the Salvation Army were given to the service association when they moved in.
“Salvation Army’s been working with and mentoring us so that we can as seamlessly as possible step into the role,” she said.
Houston RCMP will begin accepting donations at 10:00 tomorrow morning.
