The Air quality advisory for Burns Lake has now ended.
Light winds have swept the poor air away and dropped the amount of harmful particulate in the air to 19 micrograms per cubic metre, well below the Provincial threshold (25 ug/m3).
The advisory lasted 47 hours, reaching back to Saturday afternoon at 2 PM.
The Ministry of Environment says a reduction in outdoor burning and wood-burning stoves will contribute to cleaner air in the Bulkley Valley and Lakes.
