An annual Holiday fundraiser will again be held by the Houston and Granisle RCMP this weekend.
Police will collect non-perishable food times to “Cram the Cruiser” and donate to the local Salvation Army food bank.
Last year, local officers filled four vehicles with food. Sergeant Stephen Rose is hoping for even more this year but says this is about something even bigger.
“Certainly, we want to keep four – we don’t want to go backwards – but again, it’s more about bringing attention and awareness to those that are less fortunate time of the year.”
Donations can be brought to the Houston detachment between 9 AM and 4 PM on Saturday.
