The Northwest Fire Centre is implementing a category 3 fire ban on Friday.
It will go into effect at noon and applies to the Bulkley and Nadina fire zones.
Category 3 fires are described as being larger than two meters in height, three meters in width, or if multiple burns are happening simultaneously.
The ban applies to parks and recreation sites outside municipalities, and in the Village of Hazelton.
This will remain in effect until the end of September or otherwise posted.
Anyone who discovers a wildfire can report it through the BC Wildfire App or by calling *5555 on a cellphone.
