Telkwa Mayor Darcy Repen wants to build an even better Village in 2016.
With the addition of better cell service and planned fibre optics, there is a lot potential for new business in 2016.
“That’ll really open up some great opportunities for entrepreneurs, cottage industries and web based businesses for people in Telkwa” said Repen.”I think it’s a really neat shift in our economy.”
Repen wants residents to get involved and share their thoughts with Council.
“If there’s something you’d like to see happen, and it’s not happening, then lets get like-minded people together and lets make it happen” said Repen.
He says there’s been many upgrades to the water and sewage systems. Work will continue on that in the new year.
