Houston workers will be in even safer hands thanks to a recent BC gaming grant.
The Houston Volunteer Fire Fighters were given $22,000, which will be used for training.
Chief Jim Daigneault says this includes special training for local work places.
“We do confine space at a high angle for the saw mill and town and the pellet plant, so we’ve got to make sure our training standards are up to snuff to be able to support them if they have an issue,” he says.
Daigneault says this will also go towards some new equipment and help with additional roadside training.
