The Ministry of Environment issued a Road Dust Advisory for Burns Lake around 2:50 PM Tuesday afternoon.
This will continue until rain, snow, or a street cleaner gets rid of the coarse particulate on the streets.
Particulate levels are highest around busy roads and industrial operations.
The Ministry says you shouldn’t do any strenuous work outside if you have any underlying medical conditions.
Infants, the elderly, those with diabetes, and those with lung or heart disease are at the most risk.
At this time, there is no advisory in Smithers or Houston.
