If you owe money to Burns Lake, you can now use your credit cards to get out of the hole.
The Village now accepts plastic for things like penalties, and utility and property taxes.
Mayor Luke Strimbold says there was a high demand for this convenience.
“There were several folks who tried to come into the office to pay with their credit card but we weren’t able to accept it,” he says, “so we just want to be trying as accommodating as possible so we’re meeting the people’s requests.”
However, you are responsible for any extra credit card fees.
This option is also only available online. You cannot use your credit card at the Village office.
