You can share your thoughts on the town’s budget before tonight’s Smithers Council meeting.
There’ll be a public consultation tonight, where you can have your two cents on the Town’s financing. That’ll be in the Town Chambers at 5:30.
In the same room an hour later will be a regularly scheduled meeting.
Council has quite a few things on the agenda: it’s been asked to support a proposed Federal Bill of Environmental Rights based out of Victoria.
It will also consider the future of Ranger Park Preschool, allowing food trucks in Bovill Square, and whether to update policies on professional development, travel expenses, and Council remuneration.
