6 wildfires in Northwest Fire Centre Monday

The BC Wildfire fought six blazes in the Northwest Fire Centre Monday.

The largest fire was about 30 hectares and was just west of Dayeezcha Mountain (44 kilometres southeast of Burns Lake).

There’s another 4-hectare fire about 60 kilometres southeast of the Village.

So far there’s been no building damages, but the strong winds could strengthen the fires.

The causes are still being investigated, but it’s confirmed they were are all human-caused.

Crews will patrol the fires on Tuesday.
